I thought it was a bit strange that the garage didn't update the injector values when they swapped some out so i thought i would take my new scanner for a spin and update them myself.
The scanner has the option, however there is s padlock symbol beside it and when i attempted to change them i get a message about security once i hit apply
Question is, is this a LandRover thing that needs to be unlocked somewhere somehow or is it the scanner?
The instruction for the scanner state it is doable and no mention if unlocking or security.

I will go back to the scanner support if i need to once i hear from the good knowledge of you guys.

Thanks in advance,

I remember my Astra used to need the security code for some programming options. The FL1 doesn't seem to need a code for anything I have tried with it yet, though. Also, the FL1 with the BMW TD4 engine isn't supposed to need to be coded for the injectors, I believe they are supposed to self-learn. Maybe your scanner has locked functionality that you need to pay more for, although that is only a slight possibility. Do you have a security code for the FL2 available, often on a card in the owner's guide pack?

Thanks for the reply, the scanner is new so i think i will go back to them and see what support has to say.
If it is a LandRover thing i doubt it will be in the service book as it would be a money thing ie return to dealer for work.
Also i would need to know how to enter it as it isn't actually requested!!
cheers.
