Hi there.

I have just been reading up about the td5 engine and on the website i was looking at it says: in addition to the fuel filter near the o/s/r wheel, there is a 'secondary' fuel filter that 'should never need replacing'.

Anyone know where this is located?

Many Thanks

Adam

I believe its in the fuel pressure regulator and is a small gauze filter.
There is also a coarser on in the bottom of the fuel lift pump in the tank.

It sounds like they are referring to the Rotor Filter which sits in that area and should be changed as part of a main service as well as the diesel fuel filter. We include them in our service kits as well as selling them individually. I'm sure someone with more experience of servicing the TD5 can advise the correct intervals for each of these.
There's a good picture of one here:

The rotor is the centrifugal oil filter. It should be changed every other time you change the cartridge oil filter. They dont cost a lot so I change mine every 5000 miles.
