hello discolovers, i have a problem. the second gear has a problem , only when the rpm is low i can be kicked in! and when you try to climb a hill and first gear is not enough .. there 's the problem.... any ideas?

Sounds like the syncro, mine went 2 years ago but due to becoming a mature student had to live with it, doubling the clutch doesnt work so yes, have to pause with the clutch down before going from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 2nd is worse, am planning to replace with a recon box in a couple of months but its not the end of the world and you can get used to it unless you have the funds. I'm sure when I get mine fixed I'll wonder how I ever lived with it. As the Mad Hat Man says, for the cost to repair it you are better off getting a recon box fitted. Should be about £250-£300 for labour.Common with LT77

ring round as you will need new baulkring but recon would be best,there are alot more reconditioners than ashcroft

Before spending all your money check out the bias plate alignment as that what it sounds like to me, and it won't take more than 30 minutes to check it.
