My Disco has leather electrically adjustable seats and the base won’t adjust. Is it more likely to be a motor problem or an issue with the switches?

IMO that can't be guessed just like that, electrical troubleshooting is needed to rule out things

To be fair, that's the equivalent of saying "I don't know but it must be an electrical problem".... I think he knows that... :p

I finally got around to sorting out the problem. I took the seat out last night and fitted a secondhand motor that I had bought. The old motor was seized; the new one worked immediately and I have a degree of adjustment. The problem is that the other motor doesn’t work so still can’t adjust the seat properly. I’ve just ordered one from a well known interweb auction site, so hopefully, it’ll be resolved by the weekend.
