Can anyone help. I have a sticking seat belt receiver on my range rover 4.6. It is the 99-02 one which is straight but is fat and rounded where the bolt goes through. I have tried wd40. Nothing changes. if I pull the red button up with a key after releasing it it is fine on the next use until I try to release and red button sticks down.Firstly it is electric heated seat and how do I get to the torx bolt the seat does not seem to come back far enough past the centre console to let me get access with my socket. Surely I don't need to take off the seat?
Secondly does anyone have a receiver which they are selling for my year??

WD40 isn't going to do you any good. A decent lubricating oil might be worth a try but I doubt it, you'll probably find that 'something' has found it's way inside the housing.

Yes you'll have to remove the seat. Be careful if you've got the seat air-bags (yellow wiring under the seat), you're best disconnecting the battery and then having a slow cuppa (30 mins or more) before you disconnect them.

Most breakers will have the bit that you need.

Thanks for that. You would think they would just put a hex head on it so that you can use a ring spanner. The joys!!
