Hi Handy Landy Pals,

I got an old D reg that I’m starting to restore. Never realised that the front window folds down! They will make life easier as I got the classic rot under above the air vent. Here are pictures.

Question is fairly basic.

a) looks like grip fill sealing the window- I’ll cut that out, but should it be fairly easy to flap open?

b) the welder who I spoke to (old school nice fella) was confident it could be done without a repair section as long as window was forward- what’s your take on it?

cheers,

I can’t see the tilted window giving better access to be honest. You may as well remove the hinge bolts inside the cab and remove it.
