hiya

as we all seem to have problems with water in the boot have pulled out the carpet and indeed water is coming through the spot welding gap

may i ask what sealent have you used please, wish to get some decent product,

Ive used the black stuff you get for rocker covers etc. works a treat

If you don't need to paint the sealer then a general purpose silicone sealer is fine. If you want to paint it then you need an acrylic sealer

I used a Black Polyurethane sealant like this: Toolstation > Adhesives & Sealants > General Sealants > Polyurethane PU40 Sealant 310ml as specified here: Freelander - Water Ingress Into Luggage Compartment - Taildoor Seal - Land Rover

Typically, it didn't properly rain for ages after I'd completed the job. It has rained now and all is well and dry.
