Hi guys, I've got me disco in bits on the drive and I'm just starting to put the new timing belt on, but I'm a bit confused with the oil seals that came with the kit. The main culprit is the timing case cover crank seal - it seems to be a two part metal/rubber seal which rotates like it has a bearing in it, but the ones which came in the kit are all fixed. Is it just not included or is it just different?

The kit contains err 4575, err 4576, and the much smaller err 3356. Annoyingly the seal in the cover has no part number on it that I can find except for drs 6.

Any idea on what to do?

Thanks,
Fred

Ok so it seems that the seal I need isn't included in the kit, so I'll shove the crank and cam shaft seals in, which leaves err4576 as an unfittable seal.

I am struggling to get the belt on though, even though it seems to be the right part number in the kit. The lr belt that came off is an err 1092, but the dayco belt has no err model number, instead it has "118 sp plus 300 h" and then "118 rp pluss 300 h". The lr belt has "118 rpp plus 300" on it- has the wrong belt sneaked into this kit? ***edit: actually, no it's the right belt, I was just being a pussy! I tried a bit harder and it's on now!!***

I'm out on the drive doing this on my works ipad, and the bloody thing thinks it's being helpful with its poxy autocorrect! It's doing my tits in!
