Hello,
This is my first post. I purchased a 1982 RR last week. It's done 48k, full history and comes with CL, AIR CON, Electric Windows, 3 speed Auto and an electric sunroof.
There are English and Arabic handbooks and there are several notes inside the books that mention driving Prince Faisal, time date and location.
The colour is mid green, not dark like todays range rovers with the teddy brown velour. The whole car is in exceptional condition.
How could I tell if this car was part of the Saudi Royal family?
I'm not planning on selling the RR. It does have some issues that I would like to address:
1, the headlining is sagging and needs replacement. What do I need to do, buy a kit (remember the sunroof) or have a retrimmer make and fit one?
2, the spings need replacement and I'm thinking of a famous four +1" spring, shock kit. Does any one have any opinions on this?
3, i'd like to put a roof rack on the top and would like one day to carry out an expedition to SA. Any recommendations on a reasonably priced (upto £500) rack?
Sorry for the long post.
