My 56 Plate Supercharged HSE. Has a message displayed when you press the sat nav button, navigation not fitted, my question is how easy is it to install it?

Well I'll stand corrected on this but getting one would be a good place to start and once you have it then all should be well, since it is an HSE you're driving, I think you'll find the 'fault' goes away once you get a Map CD.

Hello, I dont think the car is fitted with the relevant box for reading the dvd, where would i need to look for it? bone i know but i dont want to get it wrong!.

Well I as understand it, it is located in the boot in the right hand side. I'm not to sure if the Sat Nav was an extra on this model, but I may have assumed (incorrectly) that the HSE had it as a matter of course.

A quick call to a dealers will clear this up.

I agree with woogoo. I'd be amazed if a Supercharged HSE didn't have satnav, unless you're in some strange part of the world. It should be behind the trim panel on the right.

Confirmed Hse didnt come fitted as standard, dealer says buy a Tom Tom they are better! He cant tell me if the loom is in place for it either and has never done one. He says even if...., the car system would need resetting to account for the nav and somthing about the anttena blarblarblar etc.:blabla:
seems a good challenge to me.

If its anything like BMW, the looms are pretty standard and you should be able to plug it in if you find the correct place where it would have been fitted as the "optional extra"..... I think the Land Rover satnav units and the BMW units from that time may be the same, will try to check on that for you, although someone else on the forum may come along who knows for sure....

I think by the time the Supercharged came out they'd droped the BMW system, and gone touch screen
