Hi folks,
New on here, thanks for creating this forum.
I am looking at updating my Sat Nav in my Ranger Rover Evoque (2014) and the Official product is around £160. I can see 'New' products on eBay for £95 and wondered:-
- Is it worth updating?
- Has anyone updated with a product from eBay and is it risky?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Kind regards
Vincent

IMO, in car sat navs are a waste of time, if you travel in Europe, they are always out of date. Google maps on phone or tablet is better and you can route plan on the kitchen table rather than sitting in the car because the sat nav route is not always the best way or the most picturesque way.

As our data says, Google maps, waze or even petal if your on Huawei are much better kept and upto date.
It's nice to have original equipment but the price of keeping it that way isn't always economic and the money saved could go towards a good service for your landy. ;)

It's an ejoke..... it's safe ;)

To answer the question a garmin or similar , as suggested by others is the way to go. I've bought two discs since owning the Golden Girl. It looks good, but outdated almost as soon as you put it in.
Even Garmin and the like are not as up to date as Google maps.

The sat nav in my P38 must be 15yrs out of date but I dont use it much when as been said previous I use Google maps on my smart phone
