after being off the road for some time took my 98 4.6 for a not but due to a SAS fault airbag fault on the message centre it failed. is it possible to disable this message anyway while I get it fixed?

I guess you mean SRS before the flash bangs come through the windows and you are slotted :fighting:

Nope...get it on diagnostics and find the fault, then repair!

Probably caused by low battery voltage when it was not being used.
