so the last defender is built friday
so lets hope its green with a big engine
4 all 2 see at a museum somwhere
whitch probably will happen to it
and that would be a great shame hey.
R.I.P defender.

it success was its downfall. To have vehicle that everyone nearly loved and suffered with from it concept.:rolleyes::confused::mad: Knowing you can repair even the worn out wrecks to a point where you couldn't put old faithful down:):(. Many a day since partex my old 110 v8 1988 for this freelander td4 2002 do I pine and scratch my now dry knee. I would quite equally at the drop of a pin love buy my old girl back but there the nub. A. I cannot afford it B A new one is out of my universe and even beyond now as the value goes up not down.

But I bet that somebody buys the licence for it and starts building them in somewhere like India, then you'll be able to import one. Probably for less than they are now!

I doubt anyone will buy the licence to build Landrovers in india.
Land rover are already owned by Tata of India and they make cars and trucks there anyway.
Building the Defender there will be a perfect fit for them.

What surprise me was the Spanish model Santana never really took off here. In some respect LR missed a trick with this model.
