Hi guys, have started a few threads already with regards to get my shed back running again, after i changed the head gasket, but thats sorted now. I removed the head gasket, replaced the water pump and thermostat to solve an overheating problem, hoping it would be the cause of the white smoke billowing out of the exhaust. nothing has changed though.

im pretty sure its to do with the timing but the pump has been advanced as far as it can be by a previous owner. can i file the holes to make it move a further few mm? can i lift the ump out and reset it back into the middle of the holes and then advance it from there?

its not undrivable as ill be taking it out on the road tonight for a nice long journey to get the injector cleaner running through the system and check it doesnt over heat still.

many thanks to any replies.

As already mentioned in previous responses, it would appear that your timing is not far enough advanced!

It would not be advisable to file out the slots to give you extra turn on the pump.

Silly question ... Are the injector pipes from the pump fitted in the right order for firing?

Has the pump drive been set up properly on the timimg chain, or have you moved it at all?
