Exactly it's a sacrifice for style and comfort.
Why not just put your maximum bid on? I actually prefer to do it that way for stuff where there's a danger of me paying too much. Stick the max bid in and go out. Come home, and if you've got it great, if not you didn't spend too much.
So which one? Unbolt or slide off?

Dunno really. Sometimes eBay does weird things with your bid, I also think you get slightly better deals bidding at the last minute as the person who is winning doesn't have time to increase their max bid.

you would have to unbolt it (faff!) or you can mount some quick release rails like i have on my alternative seats.
