Hi all,

Fairly new to LR maint, but overhauling my 110 TD5 with some preventative anti-corrosion/rust measures.

Done the rear bumper with red oxide and hammerite and now turned my attention to the front bumper (being a '99 reg I also have the full-width bull-bars on the front). Both bumper and bars are starting to show signs of rust and I'm keen to take them back to metal and start over. They do however seem to have a black rubberised paint coating, which I would be keen to use again, rather than simply layering up with hammerite or other.

Any tips as to what sort of rubberised paint to use (if indeed that is what it is)?

Appreciate the help.

Whatever paint I use I always consider if it is touchup able. Lots of guys here powdercoat bumpers, sliders, tire carriers, etc and then cry when they scratch it. I myself am a huge fan of NON-GLOSS black textured spray paint for bumpers, sliders, tire carriers, etc.
