Just got a 2012 RRS which we love. However the writing under the rev counter was flickering and has now no illumination. The MPH writing is also flickering occasionally. Is this just a simple bulb replacement or a new cluster / cluster refurb?

Given it's a Land Rover I think I know the answer will be the most expensive option lol. Can't seem to find anything on it so thought I would ask here :)

Hi

have u tried m disconnecting the battery , removing the connector on the rear of the instrument panel, spraying it with contact cleaner , checking all the wires/ pins and then plugging it back in along with the re installation of the battery leads

seen reports that they suffer with dry soldered joints

if that doesn’t work u might need to send it away, out of curiosity is it a TFT oanel plse, thks

Forgot to add if u do get a second hand one ur need diagnostics to copy everything over, have to be careful as well regarding the mileage , need one that shows less mileage

heard that TFT screens are a lot more difficult to program and replace

so at the end of the day would be worth getting a specialist to have a look at it for u

hope that helps

Thanks gstuart. I'm away at the moment but will have a look at doing that this weekend. Not sure what you mean by TFT but a quick google tells me it's probably not that one. Its a basic speedo and revs with a simple menu / warnings in the middle. No LCD sections. Hopefully image below helps

Finding one with lower milage may be a challenge as it's only on 48K! Looking like I may need to send away if it gets too annoying. Lots of people offering that service so assume it's a common issue.
