Hello, I hope someone can help.......I'm trying to fit a new exhaust to my classic - centre box, pipe and back box. The problem i can not get the rubber hangers to go over the brackets on the car or the exhaust. Any tips please??

did my exhaust on friday... i struggled too...

i found lubrication helped, got em on car first then the nice new metal slid in easier with lube...

just squirted em with a bit of wd40..

gettin the rubbers on the car was hardest bit. lube didnt do much good. but the new metal slid in nice and easy with a bit of wd40..

If WD40 isn't doing it for you, try a little moly grease.
....a little easing with a combination of levers/ larger screwdriver/ smaller pry bar also helps.

undo the mountings from the body, slide the rubbers over easy, and then push up with knees and rebolt the mounts. so much easier
