Hi, great forum - many thanks. I have a 05 RR Sport 2.7TDV6. About 3 months ago is began giving a little trouble in that when pulling away it would act as though you have not depressed the throttle any further. This was intermittent. After a service we noticed it had stopped. However, over the past number of days we have had a distinct reappearance of this gremlin. No warning lights show and there are no other symptoms. My wife said the temperature gauge is slow to reach 90 but I have not noticed this yet. Again, when accelerating from a standstill it just pulls away slowly and maybe 5 or seven seconds later the power kicks in. This can also happen when accelerating from slow or just above slow speeds also. I have considered it may be the throttle position sensor. I understand to change this also required changing the throttle sensor body. Is this a big job for a novice if you think this may be my problem? When can this be found on the RRs? The rev counter does respond to throttle movement but again it is deconds later before we get really going - might this be a clutch problem? Also going to try and change the Rotors & pads for the brakes. Will I be able to open the calipers or is this only for a main dealer? Thanks, Fialoe
