was surfing this forum trying to figure out what diesel engines were in P38,
I mean which years of production - engine.
Just completely lost, did they have 200tdi,300tdi, td5, bmv 2.5tdi and if td5 is the same as bmw2.5

They have bmw engines till 2000 then they have that crap td5 engine that sounds like a tank is rolling up the road.
get the bmw one as it is a sweet little diesel and once chipped ( 300 quid ) will match the 4 ltr for power and speed.

I own a 98 dse with a power chip and a alard intercooler fitted. ( 205 bhp)rolling road tested.

The horrible ones went from 95-02 (BMW) The TD5 (LR) engine only went in Disco's and defenders.(Slightly less horrible engine)
