My next little project is to add some driving/spot lights under my A-bar, to switch with my main beam. I guess the easiest place to put the relay and other gubbins is under the wing near the existing bullet connectors behind the headlight.

What's the best way to run the extra power cable through from the battery compartment to the front of the engine bay?

I wun't put a relay under the wing. it'll fill with water in a day or two!

Cable from Battery can be run under then up the front of the bulkhead. either screw the relay/s to the bulkhead & run the other wiring from there or screw the relay to the engine compartment side of the inner wing, near the front of the motor & run the wiring across the front of the motor to the lamps from there.

That's what I'd do/have done anyways. ;)

best to keep relays away from water - but as they are sealed units - they wont fill with water - its just the water could short the contacts and corrode them a lot quicker. Else go for copious amounts of vaseline ;).

i ran my cables up into the battery box from underneath and made sure they went thru some rubber grommets,i laso completely shrouded all the wiring in plastic sleeving this will stop it rubbing on any part of the body and rubbing thru

I ran mine from the auxilary fuse/relay box behind the drivers seat, under the middle seat, under the carpet, out through the grommet to the right of the normal fusebox, and then through the engine bay to the front.

Keeps the relays dry, and means all my extra fuses and relays are together
