2003/53 Disco TD5 Auto. Pretty much replaced everything since I bought it in October but I still get a strange rough idle at a standstill and more noticeable when coming off the power up to a junction.

When I did the injector seals I put a Bearmach injector loom in, so before I fork out £70 for a genuine one could this cause this?

Cheers

Can't you record a live data log?...as long as np oil t the plugs, the injector roughness is OK and no injector related codes logged i doubt it's the loom

I’m never sure how to measure the cylinder balance. At idle they vary considerably, but all my TD5’s are the same.

They are relevant only at idle and ideal is to not exceed +/- 4 while they compensate for each other but untill +/-8 is acceptable... if this is exceeded can be fuel pressure or other issue

Really I think all three of my td5’s vary by +/- 20 or more! This is the only one with a rough idle.

I will check again

I have some reconditioned black top injectors I had done at merlin but I’m saving them for the rebuilt engine.

When my injector balance was way out it wasresolved with the fitting of a new maf sensor, even though the reading from original maf was within tolerance

Could be worth a try I have some spare MAFs,VDO too
