Hello,

I have the following problem:
I would need to know about when a post 1980 series 3 with chassis end number AA217144\60 was produced. Just a rough indication will do just fine.
I know I could ask for a rover certificate, but this would take three weeks, and I need to make a buy or walk away decision based on when the car will become 25 years old.

Maybe there is someone who has a book with the production months versus chassisnumbers and can look this up for me or someone with a landrover from 1983 who can check if this number is before or after his number to get some rough idea of production year /month. This would be enough to decide on the purchase.

The current paperwork puts the car as being 1985, which is rather unlikely with the A in position 09.

Thanks for any help or info,

Kind regards,

Marc

What significance does being 25 yrs old have? Unless you're planning on exporting it to the US?

Hi,

I would really appreciate if you could have a look.
Over here in the Netherlands 25 years old means no road tax to pay ,and on a heavy Landy, it really makes a lot of difference.

Thanks,

marc

You could always make it suit your needs.

You can buy the soul of a landy off ebay, comeplete log book, plates, vin plate etc...
