I was wondering where the water was coming from in my n/s footwell definatly not the sunroofs as ive gas taped them up , i got a torch to inspect under the dash under the glovebox to find rainwater coming in on a what looks like a sealed joint , the only way to get to seal it was to take the wing off .
so i took the inner plastic liner off then carefully the wing to sort , theres what looks like a support beam going from the door to the headlight area and the hard mastic seal had corroded slightly so i scraped it painted and resealed job done /until,,,,,,,,
after i put the wing on i put the inner half plastic inner wheel arch on its held in by about 10 to 15 clips and every one i pushed a big hole in the metal inner wing IT WAS PAPER THIN ,and everywere i touched it just went through , .
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERES A REPLACEMENT INNER WING REPAIR PANEL THAT CAN BE JUST WELDED ON OR IS IT WORTH PATCHING .
ive had the car down to the garage and to weld up the inner n/s inner and a little hole in the boot floor this guy wants £100 which i was pleased with , but id rather get some repair panels if i can cause id like to keep the disco (ive got the disco fever bug) thanks jono

there are replacement inner wing panels available. but i think they are fookin expensive.

patch em up and paint em.

MM4x4 do 'em. Ive got a pair in my garage waiting for warmer weather and the necessary time to fit 'em.
