Hi All,
I am currently rebuilding a Series 3 lightweight, with 200 TDI Disco conversion, the tubo is sitting just over the chassis leg, and I have been told that you can rotate the turbo. I know this involves drilling 2 holes and tapping out the threads. Just wondering if anyone has done this and is it a difficult job? Any photos would be a big help too. Thanks

I've done it years ago. Big strong circlip was removed, rotate body to where you want it, then just marked the body for the two new threaded holes for the waste gate actuator, M6 iirc.
Drill, tap and replace circlip.

Thanks Guys, will have a go, i have read many articles about this which do help, but there's nothing to beat the practical, bit apprehensive of this, but it has to be done.
