If anyone has any tips on fitting I would be very grateful. I have watched the YouTube video on fittings to a series 3 that was helpful and the instructions look quite comprehensive. Anyway I have ordered it now so it will have to go on !

Interesting - Can I ask why you went down this road, rather than changing the TB ratio ? ...

Is your TD5 re-mapped ?

I had a GKN and although i liked the extra gears, especially the high 5th with the 1.4 Transfer box, it introduced more slop and heat to the drive train. The unit did stop working on a long motoway drive, which left me stuck in high. Wasn't good ! The GKN also maintains a dam, which meant the gearbox splines remain dry which isn't good !

To my knowledge the Roamerdrive shares oil with the TB maintaining a wet gearbox splines which is good which is why i considered it instead of the GKN. However, according to the Garage that rebuilt my TB, Roamerdrive just like the GKN, creates a lot of heat and on motorways etc they tend to overheat and they have seen a few come in completely destroyed.
As such i'd only install one if i also installed a cooling system or I knew I wasn't going to tow/ go on long high speed jaunts.

I do miss my overdrive though, great bit of kit but very flawed.

Hi yes my td5 is alive tuned i also had the larger cooling finned sump . The overdrive works very well and gives me the longer gears that I was after without changing for a puma as I like the td5 engine.
