I'd want to fit it with a washable K&N air filter, and bring a spare fuel filter, as well as a few litres of all your fluids. There are probably more advanced parts you will want to take but that would be a good start...

Wouldnt a K&N be likely to let more dust in than a standard paper filter?

I would have thought 2 or 3 spare paper filters would be a better bet. Good call though, and fluids is def. an important one as well.

What else.. waterpump? hoses and clips? UJs?
 
i was thinking, should i replace the ignition system before i go? coil, dizzy, plugs n leads?

or if it aint broke dont fix it?
