Have I missed something or is this fake news. The Birnigham Live as quoted that the VED for a V8 Range Rover will rise to an eye watering £5264 in April 2025.
 
That's what they are being on but it's not really the point. The vehicle tax system isn't really fit for purpose. Like so many gov things
Oh, don't get me wrong, totally agree with that, it's all too high, my dream is to get a car over 40years old, V8 of course.
 
Thanks guys for a bit of clarification, but the article mentioned the Co2 output of the vehicle, which the new ones are greatly reduced somewhat, could this affect older vehicles, I hope not.

From what I've read, 2001-2017 top rate will be £760, 1984-2001 £360.
