I could do with a bit of advice... I'm looking to fit new tyres to my 300TDi on stock alloys, possibly 235/70 x 16, but with a road bias. Something like 70% road/ 30% off road or even 80%/20%. With no ABS and often pulling a trailer, I require a tyre that will work very well under heavy braking in the wet!! I'd be glad of any recommendations (price not too much of a problem)....

I've got Pirelli Scorpion ST's on my disco. never had any problems with them at all.

Sounds like Pirelli ST's so far, not badly priced too. Just read somewhere else that they were recommended for the road... Still interested in any alternatives though. Cheers so far...

I got a part worn set of 16" Pirelli Scorpion ST's sitting in my yard awaiting an ebay listing
