Lookin in the Haynes manual for defender gearbox.

I'll start at the index I thought just to save looking through and not finding it.

BIG MISTAKE...... Not listed in G for gearbox:confused:

Not listed in T for transmission:confused:

I'm not flickin through the lot if I have to serach all night:mad:

Any ideas where gearbox might be listed in the Haynes...is it me:)

Panic over I've found it.

Listed under 'M' for manual gearbox....why didn't I think of that ffs whats wrong with puttin it under G for gearbox ?

how about between you and passenger, just underneath the tunnel? :D

just a moment, I'll try and look it up. Have to find the defender manual first...

This is a joke right?:frown:
The Haynes isn't that big a book so even turning every page one at a time would only take a few minutes whereas flicking through it would take even less time.

Do you really think you are ready to start working on the vehicle unaided???

Did you read first post ?

Its the principle of the thing, why should I have to flick through when the reason the index is there is so you dont have to flick through. And whats wrong with putting gearbox under G ffs.

For the same reason Haynes love to say 'reassembly is a reversal of the removal procedure' - to torment you!;):D:D

Oh I read the first post allright.

Looks like your problem was that you were reading the Index which breaks it down more, if you had looked at the Contents page you would probably have found it without all the hard work of turning a few pages or typing a question on here.:D
