I knew something was wrong when it got noisey.I grease them regularly, but i was supprised how quickly they go to crap.
Anyways, i took the front prop off and removed the old uj simply enough, but when i reassembled it came up against a problem that cracked the top off one of the cups.
The Haynes manual that i had outside with me recomended filling the cups up to a third with grease which seemed reasonable. However, when i squeezed the cups in to the point of putting the circlips in, one cup burst.
I was carefull with the needle rollers, and didnt find evidence of one causing the damage. The only thing i can think of is the grease causing a hydraulic lock and cracking the cup.
I`ve had to order another and just want it back together, but i`m curious as to whether anyone else has experienced similar.
