Not to sure if this is the best idea or there is another way.
I bought an overheating disco 300tdi the other day as a bit of a project, changed head gaskets and water pumps etc before, so thought id have a crack at it.

The bloke I bought it of had been fiddling with the fuel pump, it over heated when towing..he then chucked a load of k-seal in it :doh:

so im not sure if the root of the problem is the fuel pump tweak (before i sort the head gasket etc) is there a way to reset it to factory? or is it easer to just replace the pump, i have one on an old disco as a donor.

Any ideas would greatly help..thanks

unless somebody has marked everything inside it would be virtually impossible to return it to factory.if you have any doubts you would be better to replace it with your donor pump.
