Hey guys,

I've had my defender for a little over 6 months now, i'm about to replace my rear brakes with a new set.

Discs,
Calipers
Pads

Is there anything else that I could/should get done whilst tinkering around that area? Or any advice for some maintenance?

Cheers

You'll have to take the hub off to change the discs so you'll need hub nut lock washers if it's the earlier model (2 nuts?)
Clean regrease the bearings if they are still good. New hub seals if they look iffy or leaky? New drive flange gaskets, check diff oil levels as you may lose a bit.
Jack one wheel at a time and it shouldn't run out.
That's all I can think of apart from the brake pipe might end up mullered so be prepared to need to replace them.

Hey Thanks for the reply, I believe they are a little leaky so I'm going to get myself everything you've mentioned it should hopefully save me a job in the future.

Might be worth changing the flexi that goes into the axle rigid pipe (it’s under the a frame) as it would be Sod’s law you change the callipers and 2 weeks later tht flexi pope goes dodgy
