If I wanted a rebuilt, turnkey V8 where should I look and what should I expect to pay?
Could I drop in a TVR version or would that just not work without changes?
For a classic RR as my 4.2 may need some work it seems.
RPI v8 developments je developments. My mate took his (long engine) to turners and had it top hat linered. He was very happy with it and sung their praises. Tvr fine but can you get it with the ECU to save on chipping?
Tapping cam follower on one cylinder. It was covered but the exhaust manifold blowing! Very quiet when cold but taps a bit when warm.
I imagine the cam could do with replacing so followers, rocker gear etc.
In itself it doesn't mean rebuilding the engine but it might be worth investing a bit in the engine as I've just fixed the shell!
Put back a bit as its now developed a catastrophic coolant leak. Hopefully nothing too serious and it didn't get too warm.
