Hi,
Like a lot of people on here, I've got a 2nd hand disco. Unfortunately the keys that came with the car were not the original keys, but replacements. The replacements have now stopped working.
I've spoken to a car locksmith who told me that he couldn't order the keys himself and that I'd have to talk to Land Rover. I phoned Land Rover and was told that they can order the keys, but can't code them as the vehicle is no longer supported.
That means that I'm looking at spending £308.60 for 2x replacement keys from Land Rover and £350 for a car locksmith to come out and code the keys once I have them.
Unfortunately, being new to LR ownership, I didn't know to check for my EKA code when I bought the car. Looking now, it is missing from the log book, meaning I now can't disable the immobilisers until I get new keys.
Does anyone know of a service/way of replacing the keys for less than £660?!
Cheers,
Duncan
