I managed to use a little ingenuity to get the rest of the dash apart to replace the heater control unit. Alas, the radio remains my last obsticle.

I'm sure there is a simple set of steps but my ingenuity seems to have been exausted on the previous steps.

Any recommendations and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Peter

is it a 200 or a 300.
you need 2 little tools that go down each side of the head unit and then pull it out. if it has 4 holes on the ends(2 on each side) you can use thin nails if you aint got the tools ;)

It has one small hole on each side of the radio. Can I use a feeler gage or something similar?

Thanks for your post!

you need 2 nailfiles, like the ones women use, these slot stasight down and release the catches, it will pop out in seconds. not that i'm a twocker ;)

strange aint it?
fella asking how to remove a radio on this thread.
then on the next thread some other fella is asking how to recode a radio???

Thanks all for your help and comments.

In case someone else has the same problem, this radio has two small holes, one on each side of the radio. I found that a small allen wrench and many turns counterclockwise did the trick. I noticed in another post that someone mentioned 5/64 being the size but I won't swear by that.

Good luck and thanks!
Peter
