Hello - im strugling to get the large fan by the radiator off of my TD5 - any tips - how does it come off

with the correct spanner or hammer/chisel

rh thread not lh as some ,either a spanner and hammer abd shock it loose or long punch on edge of a flat

So hold the nut behind the fan steady & shock the fan off ?

either with punch or hitting spanner

with a 36mm spanner I think

36mm special cranked spanner un tw@t it anti-clockwise ! or make one out of a bit of flat steel !

See if a local garage has one to borrow quickly, I keep mine in the boot just incase I need to refit the viscous

I loosen mine with a hammer and heafty screwdriver first, just gently tap it round! It's really easy just remember its RH not LH
