Lost my greenlaning cherry on Salisbury Plain in 1990...
Unbelievably the Rangey still lives , the HiLux however rusted out - obviously- ('Invincible' - my arse)
Stonehenge just visible in the background

'Twas before the days of blingy winches, snorkels and roof lights

Anyone elso got any old piccies?

before snorkels??? they were about in the early 80's me dads mate had one on his series 2

My first green lane was about 1986 in a 2a swb at laney green , cannock , just off J11 of the M6 ! Its no longer driveable because the northern relief road sliced straight through it !

First time laning was in 1987, In my S3 Safri, on a lane near Boxford, Suffolk. had a few laughs over at thetford as well, in the forest.

Bloody hell, Bob hadnt thought of that lane for at least 10 yrs, thats where I did my first (legal) bit too. before that it was any sort of bike on Cannock Chase ( mmm honda C90, thats great dirt bike ) when I was a kid.

Its a wonder they didn't keep the green lane open and stick a toll booth on it

SCOR Randonee back 1990s in a SWB Series. It was my first time off road ever. Bit of baptism of fire at the time, but seems relatively tame looking back now.
