I'm thinking of getting a remap, can anybody recommend somewhere in the yorkshire area or slightly further afield if ill be getting the right help. I think having the map is a must due to struggling a bit with the caravan.

There are 2 options.
1. A remap which will give roughly 140bhp

2. A Ronbox wich can be plugged in switched on/off etc. also gives around 140bhp

3. Yes there is a third option. Have both to give you roughly 165bhp, but it may wreck your transmission.

I have done all 3 and settled on the remap as that is my preference. The Ronbox might be more economical as it isn't on 'full power' all the time.

I'm at the other end of the country, so can't help you, but SES88 had his remapped up norf somewhere. Durham rings a bell.

But, if you have ve the slightest problem with the engine it will be magnified by the remap/Ronbox. Whether it be injectors/fuel pump/filter/splits in pipes etc.

It took me about 6 months to sort my engine out. Replaced a few injectors.

Remember the TD4's are now 8+ years old as a minimum and some of them are 14 years old.

Yep, mine was done by Durham Remaps, depending on where in Yorkshire you are, they could be under an hour's drive from you! Can't fault them, map is spot on, going to take my FL2 there when I get round to wanting to map it (need to get the keys back from SWMBO first though)
