Hello
I own a 1988 Land Rover County 110 and it's fitted with the white wheels but they are rusty and need a refurb.

I am guessing the easiest way is to sand them back smooth and then repaint them.

My question is what type of paint should I buy that will give me similar colour to the original wheels?

I don't know anyone who does the locally.
Im based in hampshire on the south coast

what colour would I be asking for?

They were originally white but I assume there are lots of different types of white.

what are modular wheels?

White will likely be LRC456 Alpine White

I did mine - wire brush on drill, rust converter, prime, top coat, lacquer

Started rusting again within 6 months

If I do again, will get shot blast

The original colour would have probably been "Limestone". The colour often matched that of the roof.

Thought I'd update this thread. I found someone local to me who refurb them properly (full strip, primer, paint etc for £65 per wheel. Colour used was Ivory White.

You can buy brand new ones for £25 each

Try Googling em. It's been a few years since I looked but £25+vat per rim springs to mind

I did look to buy new ones it work out just as cheap/easy to have somebody refurb the originals properly.

I'm happy with it.
