I have refitted my parabolic springs to the chassis with new Polybushes. Do I need to carry out the spring setting procedure when setting the torque of the nuts on the springs and the shackles? It is understandable to set the springs when fitting standard Land Rover bushes, due to the bushes being moulded in one piece; but the Polybushes have a loose centre tube – so tightening this with the springs in mid-point of deflection would not make a lot of difference as the tubes would move inside the polybush. Thanks

As you say polybushes can move on inner tube so should be ok to tension in any position,at least when new.

Thanks tottot, I just wanted to confirm this was correct before moving on with my rebuild.
