Theyre standard defender hole positions ,the bottom 2 and top 2 holes on the x member. Its been a long time since Ive been near a series so I cant remember if theyre the same!
thanks
Just popped down to see Clive and saw these recovery hoops, there massive in real life and definitely strong enough probably far more over engineered than they need to be. Now have one just gotta paint it..
just a suggestion. next time you take pics, it could be useful to take them next to a frame of reference, like the bumper. It's a bit hard to tell if its on a tshirt
*cough* nm, seems I didn't click and look at the second page
I have wondered about taking the tow bar off if I go laning as its the lowest point.
Not questioning the quality of these, they look great, but what they are mounted on. My towbar fastens to the crossmember and the chassis, it only tows a 3 tonne trailer. Is a crossmember strong enough if you have to pull a Landy out of mud or something?
Your x member really needs to be in good condition, but these put no more stress in than when all we had was nato hitches for recovery.
If youve one of my x members youll be fine
