I recently fitted a recon BCU to my Disco 2 TDI, to fix many electrical gremlins I've been putting up with for ages. The faults I had before seem to have gone, but the car now won't crank. I'm told by the suppliers of the BCU that it probably needs to be resynced using Nanocom or similar and I'm wondering whether any local enthusiast might be able to assist as I don't have the necessary kit. I'm in Wiltshire, not far from Swindon. Here's hoping someone can help!

?? The bcm is synced to the pcm
but if its not synced it doesnt stop it cranking....it just wont fire up.

Thanks EeEk, Any other ideas?The gearbox warning lights are flashing too. The car was running before we exchanged the BCU.

What about the immobiliser side of it? I guess it might stop it cranking? I changed a bcm once but couldnt do a thing as everything you touched set the alarm off That was after reading on the net that if you changed the bcm and pcm together it would work!! what ****e that turned out to be

You still have the old bcm to swap back in?
