I am looking to have my chassis replaced. I am Midland based. but happy to travel.
Can anyone recommend based on their own experience?

Hello mate. I’m just about finished a rebuild of my 90. I bought a chassis from MAER in Poland. I’m extremely happy with it. The quality is superb and better than what I found here. Price was ok too. It has fitted perfectly with every part I fitted to it including a new bulkhead. Over engineered in places and fitted with drain holes so it can be washed out. I’ve had 30 years experience with 90’s and this is the best I’ve seen. No issues dealing with MAER as they speak English and also have an office in England I think??? Their distributor in the uk is a crew called Spanner monkey based near Newcastle. They would deliver it to your place of choice no issues. When I placed my order the polish guys kept me up to date with progress and I had under a month. Not bad, suppliers here quoted me 4-6 months and a lot more money.
Don’t think you’d go wrong. If you weren’t so far away you’d be welcome to come see mine. I’m near Edinburgh. Good luck mate, I hope you get sorted out and enjoy doing your rebuild. ✌🏻Graeme.

Graeme.
i am also considering useing Maer for my chassis swap,
with regards to deliveries, i'm not sure if such a large lorry would fit down my road.
How did you find the delivery went .

Hello mate. My chassis was delivered on the back of an Ifor Williams flatbed trailer. MAER have an agent over here who do the delivery with their disco and the trailer so a lorry is not a problem. The company is called spanner monkey from Durham. Depends where you are in the country as there is another company that sell MAER’s chassis too, terrain tech parts on the south coast. Worth asking MAER who else sells for them. I’m near Edinburgh so the Durham guys were up here in no time. I’m almost at the end of the build and this chassis has been top notch to work with. Not 1mm outta place anywhere. Taken me 14 months so far, including a break for a liver transplant half way through…helps to be a determined ole sumbitch if you have a lany ✌🏻get in touch if you need owt else bro.

I can second getting a MAER chassis, I had a replacement 300TDI 110 chassis direct from them. Due to the size of the delivery vehicle they had to park down the road but they had a Moffett forklift so was able to deliver the chassis to my front door. They are still offering free delivery for items over £1500

Thats all sounding very promising from Maer.
have read many build blogs from other people re building on chassis from other well known suppliers and there seems to be a quite a number that have issues with mounting points being in wrong positions causing headaches with lining up things.
Has anyone had experiences with their bulkheads as well. I know DDS have good reviews.

I bought and fitted a shielder to the MAER. Fitted right on with no issues or any changes required. It’s great quality and easy to access to clean it and rust protect it too. Very happy with the standard of it. Terrain tech are rebuilding lr’s and are using MAER and shielder to do this. I got my bulkhead from terrain tech. Heard that MAER were not making a bulkhead for some reason. Everything lining up just fine to the millimeter.
