My 2002 TD4 rear wiper blade doesn't touch the glass!! It appears to have a decent blade on it, Bent arm or wrong blade?

I had a similar problem with mine. It was only when i took the spare wheel off the back that i saw the wiper arm was split at the bottom by the bolt - that was making the blade lift off the glass slightly.

Damaged or rusted arm will cause this.

Lubricate the pivot, rivetted joint on the wiper arm

My arm had 'warped' and was catching and wearing the paint away behind the spare wheel. 10 mins with a heat gun and 'tweak' then prime and repaint tailgate sorted it.
