It all worked perfectly.
The only problem I encountered (or stoopid error ?!?! ) was trying to reset the calibration with the door still open <DOH !>
After a couple of attempts I resorted to stripping it all down again thinking there was either a problem with the motor or the new regulator. I now know what the inside of the motor looks like if I ever need to repair one
. And I can probably now fit a new regulator with my eyes closed.
So after it dawned on my I was just being stoopid I closed the door, followed the recalibration procedure, et voila ! A fully functioning rear tailgate window.
I bought my regulator from an ebay seller for £28.00. It looks as good as the original so if it only lasts half as long it will still be good value.
