New brake pipes needed all round for MoT, and from bitter experience I’ve ordered all flexi hoses and new wheel cylinders so I can replace the whole lot rather than fighting with crusty unions.

Because the wheel cylinder bolts are often tricky, I ordered four of them too, but they’re out of stock, and this is the case everywhere as far as I can see. Does anyone know of a source of these, or a suitable replacement? PN SMV000010.

As Andy said. The bolts are M6 X 10mm long. I use 8.8 grade bolts when I change them, and apply plenty of copper anti-seize. Don't be tempted to use stainless bolts, as they can fail catastrophically.

I grind the head off the old bolts to save messing with them, although space is a bit tight in there.

What tool did you use to cut the bolt heads off? Mine are rounded off so I need to somehow cut them off. As you say, not much room.

Hello im planning to replace wheel cylinder, do I also need to change brake pipes as well?
Is the M6 x 10mm for the wheel cylinder have 7mm head size? Or does it only matter with the thread size? Mine are rusted and i both need a wrench and maybe new bolts

I managed to chisel them off thanks.

does anyone know where I can order online the 4 screws that hold on the rear brake drums?
When you chiseled them off how did you afterwards get the threads off??

The wheel cylinder bolts?
When you chisel them off at the rear, the stud will come out still attached to the wheel cylinder, from the drum side.

I only had one stuck and I used a small dremmel wheel on it
After doing this to the bolt i plan to just keep using the cylinder and hope for the best
