Ok so iv just picked up some new bushes for my rear watts linkage and arms

Just a quick question and I apologise if this is stupid in advance which I think it may be but have to ask

Once removed are you able to drive a disco 2 without the watts linkage fitted? Reason being is I have to drive to a mates house the get them pressed in?

If not I can use another car but my friend has been saying drive over with it and I can't help but be sure you can not drive with out this fitted

So some one settle the matter for us ha?

Thanks

No - not possible to drive as you'll have no sideways restraint of the axle.

You can be sure that if it was drivable without the Watts linkage, then Land Rover being tight buggers would not have bothered to fit it. Without it, on your first corner, the axle will depart sideways out from under the car:eek::eek:

The only, next to useless lateral restraints would be the rear trailing arms, so as has been said DON'T DO IT!

Hope you didn't buy ****part bushes.... the outer bushes are just plain crap, plastic outers that deform when you press them in. The inners although metal sleeved don't last that long.
