Hello all. Looks like im going to be replacing a lot of Freelander rear bushes due to various creaks and squeeks (WD40 cures for a while).

Where is the best place to get them. Local dealer quoted £140.00 for the genuine ones:eek:

Aside from the possibility of a seized bolt or two is there anything i need to look out for.

Thanks

One other thing that can cause squeaks and creaks (and sometimes if it's quite bad knocks) is the rear chassis where the subframe bolt cracks part of the chassis and pulls through. It's a simple fix though either by welding or creating a strong plate to stop the bolt pulling through. I've done the latter.

:D well said Joe,

Ebay is a good bet. But beware as i've heard some of the bushes on there aren't as good quality i.e. the non genuine ones.

You could try the poly bushes but they're a bit more hassle as they need to be pressed in into the original bush housings.

Careful what you buy on ebay. I bought an ABS sensor for £70. Lasted a couple of months. £200 for a new one from LR Dealer. Bushes are another matter I know but "buyer beware".
