Thanks to for advice about my discover rear suspension, it is now back to full health as
It now has new coil suspension instead of its air suspension

Welcome, fellow Kernowperson, don't think I have seen you before!
Might be an idea to post your gratitude in the Disco section, probably a bit quiet in here :)

theres another landrover ruined....

+1
One of the easier systems to master.
Neglect over the years probably contributed.
Wouldn't be without the air as I use the Remote to lower and raise when hooking up the boat trailer

I never had the remote lowering but must say I won't miss the air suspension the handling of the discovery is now vastly improved now converted over to coil

if you old system was knackered and youve put in something that vaguely works, then it will no doubt feel better.
People do it on the rangerovers as well and it ruins them. Whats the point in having nasty cheap coil springs when you can have lovely sumptous air bags instead?

The reason is because for the cost of fitting coils would have just been the price of the compressor and no labour charges

its easy to rebuild the compressor and the kits are about £12 :p

Labour - 20 minutes on the kitchen table

Really, seem to remember having to rebuild one on a P38, I acquired.
You would have thought the PO would have done it:p

I did it on MY current one :p

I would have rebuilt that one, but the mrs's wall interaction sequence put paid to that.
